The proposed windfarm will be sited roughly 4 kilometers south of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire. The site lies one kilometer off the A90 and can be accessed via the Upper Criggie Junction.

The site itself is a large agricultural field which until recently has been used for sheep grazing. After construction, the site will still be suitable for farming purposes.
