The developers commissioned experienced consultants to undertake research into the possible environmental impacts, both positive and negative, of this proposed project.

The research was carried out by Atmos Consulting Ltd and other specialist environmental consultants.

The potential impacts to be assessed included:

• Ecology and Ornithology
• Archaeology and Cultural Heritage
• Hydrology
• Aircraft Safety (radar)
• Traffic
• Socio-economics (including Tourism and Recreation)
• Telecommunications

The Hillhead of Auquhirie Wind Farm proposal will be developed within the Aberdeenshire Council development plan framework and will comply to the relevant planning policies.

All the environmental assessments were carried out to industry best practise guidelines and in consultation with the relevant statutory agencies.
